Wholefood Brownie & Blondie Recipes and Tips

Our team have been working on creating the perfect wholefood brownie & blondie that's equal parts delicious and nutritious for many months now. Along the way we picked up a few tips and tricks that we wanted to share with you. 

Choc Chunk Wholefood Brownie Mix

What you will need:
60gms melted butter OR 60ml oil
2 medium eggs
What you will need (vegan):
100ml oil
80ml plant-based milk
1 tbsp (20gms) flax meal

Method:
PREPARE
... by preheating the oven to 170°C (fan forced) and lining a 20cm square cake tin with greaseproof paper.
MIX... the eggs and oil or butter together in a small bowl and combine until creamy. If using melted butter, make sure it has completely cooled before mixing it with the eggs. Fold in the dry brownie mix and stir thoroughly. Spoon into your lined cake tin.
VEGAN MIX... the milk and flax meal together and let it sit for 2 minutes. Stir in your choice of oil. Fold in the dry brownie mix and stir thoroughly. Spoon into your lined cake tin.
BAKE... for 17-19 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned and a fork comes out clean. Allow the brownie to cool before slicing into 16 pieces.
TIP... the size of your cake tin will affect the height of the brownie so adjust your cooking time accordingly.

65gms melted butter OR 80ml oil
2 medium eggs
What you will need (vegan):
80ml oil
100ml plant-based milk
1 ½ tbsp (30gms) flax meal

Method:
PREPARE
... by preheating the oven to 170°C (fan forced) and lining a 20cm square cake tin with greaseproof paper.
MIX... the eggs and oil or butter together in a small bowl and combine until creamy. If using melted butter, make sure it has completely cooled before mixing it with the eggs. Fold in the dry blondie mix and stir thoroughly. Spoon into your lined cake tin.
VEGAN MIX... the milk and flax meal together and let it sit for 2 minutes. Stir in your choice of oil. Fold in the dry blondie mix and stir thoroughly. Spoon into your lined cake tin.
BAKE... for 15-17 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned and a fork comes out clean. Allow the blondie to cool before slicing into 16 pieces.
